🤝 Our Safeguarding Pledge to Parents
At HF Nexus Academy, the spiritual, emotional, and physical safety of our young learners is paramount. As an international academy serving families across the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East, we enforce rigorous child protection benchmarks aligned with international best practices and UK Working Together to Safeguard Children standards.
1. Rigorous Faculty Vetting & Identity Verification
Every instructor, scholar, and tutor at HF Nexus Academy undergoes exhaustive pre-employment screening prior to being assigned any student:
- Identity & Government ID Authentication: Multi-point identity verification including verified national identity documents and residential checks.
- Academic & Sanad Verification: Independent verification of graduation degrees (Shahadat-ul-Alimiyyah / Dars-e-Nizami) from accredited institutions (Jamia Darul Uloom, Wifaq ul Madaris) and unbroken Ijazah certificates in Quran recitation.
- Character & Scholar References: Mandatory background references and character endorsements from senior scholars and supervising faculty.
- Clean Criminal History Checks: Strict review ensuring zero history of misconduct, child endangerment, or disciplinary actions.
2. 1-on-1 Online Class Safety Protocols
Our online classroom operations are architected with full transparency to ensure peace of mind for parents:
- Open-Door Parental Observation: Parents and legal guardians have an unqualified right to sit in on, listen to, or quietly observe any live 1-on-1 session at any moment, announced or unannounced.
- Sole Official Communication Channels: All academic communications, scheduling adjustments, and homework feedback occur solely through official academy channels or designated parent contact numbers. Faculty members are strictly prohibited from contacting minor students privately via personal WhatsApp, social media (Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok), or personal email.
- Appropriate Class Environments: Both students and instructors are required to conduct lessons in a quiet, professional, well-lit, and public family space (such as a study room or family living area), not in secluded private bedrooms.
3. Session Recording & Digital Privacy
In accordance with international privacy laws (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and COPPA):
- Live video sessions may be recorded for safeguarding audits, pedagogical quality review, and parent recap requests.
- Recordings are stored in encrypted, access-restricted cloud storage and retained strictly according to educational audit requirements.
- Zero Marketing Exploitation: Minor student recordings, images, or audio snippets are never shared on public social media, YouTube, or promotional marketing campaigns without explicit, unambiguous, prior written parental consent.
4. Instructor Code of Conduct & Positive Pedagogy
All faculty members sign and adhere to our strict Pedagogical Code of Ethics:
- Patient, Sunnah-Inspired Encouragement: Lessons are conducted with patience (Sabr), kindness (Rifq), and constructive praise. Shouting, harsh reprimands, belittling, or emotional distress are grounds for immediate suspension.
- Professional Boundaries: Instructors maintain strict scholarly decorum and professional boundaries at all times, dressing in full Islamic modesty.
- Male & Female Scholar Choice: We provide dedicated, verified female scholars (Alimat) for sisters and young girls, ensuring complete comfort and cultural adherence.
5. Incident Escalation & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
We operate an independent, immediate escalation procedure for any parental question, comfort concern, or safety grievance:

6. Ongoing Staff Training & Policy Reviews
Safeguarding is not static. Our faculty participates in mandatory biannual refresher workshops on child psychology, digital safeguarding, online classroom etiquette, and positive behavioral management.
